The ICT Training and Eco Skills for Tourism program was successfully conducted in Machhapuchre–8, Lwang Gharel, bringing together local participants to enhance their digital skills and promote sustainable tourism practices within the community. 🌿💻
The training session was facilitated by Md. Tamim Ahmed, a participant of the Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (Norec) exchange program. Through this initiative, practical knowledge and hands-on learning opportunities were shared with participants to support digital empowerment and eco-friendly tourism development.
The session was conducted together with colleagues Rashmi Sharma and Hasina Khatun, whose valuable support contributed to making the training engaging and effective.
The program was organized in collaboration with Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN), reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening community capacity, promoting sustainable tourism, and empowering local people through knowledge and skill development.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and practical activities, learning how ICT tools can help promote local tourism, improve communication, and support community-based tourism initiatives. The training also emphasized eco-skills and responsible tourism practices to help protect the natural and cultural heritage of the region.
The session was warmly received by participants and highlighted the importance of collaboration, digital literacy, and sustainable tourism education in supporting resilient and thriving local communities.
