Empowering Women of Nepal

Empowering Women of Nepal (EWN) is thrilled to announce our participation in an enriching skill exchange program with Society for Underprivileged Families (SUF) from Bangladesh, the program is funded by, Norewgian Agency for Exchange Cooperation (NOREC). This innovative program is designed to foster cross-cultural learning and skill enhancement, bringing together participants from both Nepal and Bangladesh in a collaborative exchange of expertise.

As part of this program, two employees from EWN have traveled to SUF in Bangladesh, where they are delivering our Trekking Guide Training program. This training equips participants with the skills necessary to excel in the tourism industry, an invaluable asset for youth from underprivileged families. Additionally, our employees are offering sessions in Entrepreneurship, English language skills and more, broadening the horizons and opportunities for these young individuals.

In a same way, two trainers from SUF have joined us here in Nepal, where they are imparting their knowledge in several key areas. They are conducting training in basic computer skills, important for enhancing digital literacy among our participants. Moreover, they are providing on-the-job training tailored for female guides of the Himalayas, alongside workshops on communication and digital applications, empowering our trainees to navigate the evolving digital landscape confidently.

This exchange program represents the spirit of international cooperation and the transformative power of education. Through this collaboration, both EWN and SUF are contributing to the empowerment and development of youth, particularly those from marginalized communities. We are proud to be a part of this initiative and look forward to the continued growth and success of our participants.
